Bali, 12 November 2024 – Air India, India’s national carrier, has officially launched its direct international flight service between New Delhi, India, and Denpasar (Bali), Indonesia, replacing the previously operated route by Air Vistara. The inaugural flight departed from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) at 22:40 local time and landed at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar (DPS) at 08:10 local time. The return flight from Bali to New Delhi is scheduled for 10:35 local time. Air India will operate this route daily using the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which offers enhanced comfort for passengers.

The new route will meet the growing demand for travel and connect passengers to one of the most captivating destinations in the world.
The inaugural flight also marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration between Air India and PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta Tbk (JAS) as well as PT JAS Aero Engineering Services (JAE). JAS, a provider of ground and cargo handling services, has been entrusted to manage ground handling, cargo handling, security, and premium lounge services for the aircraft while on the ground. JAE, a leading provider of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services in Indonesia, will provide certification of aircraft airworthiness, technical ramp services, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE), including ground handling and other technical support. All services provided by JAS and JAE aim to ensure the flight operates safely, efficiently, and in line with international standards.
