JAE Introduces Embraer Aircraft Type Capability in Manado

Manado, June 25, 2025 – PT JAS Aero Engineering Services (JAE) proudly welcomes the inaugural flight of Scoot’s newest aircraft, the Embraer E190-E2, at Sam Ratulangi International Airport (MDC) in Manado, North Sulawesi. The flight, which operated on June 25, departed from Singapore Changi International Airport (SIN) at 12:45 local time and arrived at MDC at 16:25 local time. The return flight from MDC was scheduled for 17:10 local time, arriving at SIN at 20:45 local time. This flight adds to Scoot’s aircraft portfolio serving operations from SIN, which currently includes the Airbus A320. 

 

Scoot is a low-cost carrier and a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), while the Embraer E190-E2 is one of the latest generation jet aircraft, renowned for its advantages in fuel efficiency, lower carbon emissions and noise levels, and enhanced cabin comfort. The deployment of this fleet demonstrates Scoot’s commitment to delivering sustainable aviation services across its network. 

 

As part of its operational readiness, PT JAS Aero Engineering Services (JAE) has once again been entrusted by Scoot as its strategic Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) partner in Indonesia to support the E190-E2 flight operations in Manado. Previously, JAE has served as the partner for this aircraft type in Kertajati, Balikpapan, Pekanbaru, Makassar, and Padang. JAE also supports Scoot’s Airbus A320 aircraft operations in Jakarta, Bali, Lombok, Yogyakarta, Balikpapan, Pekanbaru, Makassar, Padang, and Manado. With over 21 years of expertise and experience in the aviation industry, JAE is committed to ensuring the smooth and safe operations of Scoot’s flights in Manado and other cities through aircraft airworthiness certification. This is aimed at ensuring every aircraft is in optimal condition before takeoff.
