Jakarta, September 2, 2025 – PT JAS Aero Engineering Services (JAE) is proud to support the operations of Chinese carrier Loong Air, which in June 2025 launched its new route connecting Hangzhou–Haikou–Jakarta. Operating four times weekly with Airbus A320 aircraft, this route marks Loong Air’s strategic step to expand its international network and enhance connectivity between China and Indonesia.
Effective September 2, 2025, JAE has been appointed as Loong Air’s Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) partner, providing aircraft airworthiness certification services prior to departure from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. This trust underscores JAE’s commitment to delivering aircraft maintenance services that comply with international safety standards.
The flight schedule commences from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH) at 5:00 PM local time, arriving at Haikou Meilan International Airport (HAK) at 7:50 PM local time. The aircraft then continues to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), departing at 9:20 PM and arriving at 1:50 AM local time the following day. The return service from CGK to HAK is scheduled at 2:50 AM local time.
“We welcome this opportunity as part of our efforts to strengthen air connectivity between China and Indonesia, and we are fully prepared to provide reliable technical support for Loong Air’s operations in Jakarta. We sincerely appreciate the trust placed in us by the airline, as well as the support from all parties contributing to these operations. JAE will continue its commitment to supporting a sustainable aviation industry,” said Iman Sinambela, President Director of PT JAS Aero Engineering Services.
The collaboration between Loong Air and JAE highlights a shared commitment to reinforcing international air connectivity. With more than 21 years of expertise in servicing a wide range of aircraft for both domestic and international airlines, JAE continues to position itself as a strategic MRO partner that adds value to Indonesia’s aviation industry. Looking ahead, this partnership is expected to inspire the development of additional international routes.
Jakarta, as one of Indonesia’s main gateways, is becoming increasingly accessible for business travelers and tourists, further solidifying its role as a leading economic and tourism hub in Southeast Asia. Moreover, the addition of flights from Hangzhou—recognized by the Chinese government as a national cultural and creative center—and Haikou, a strategically located city on the rapidly developing Hainan Island, is anticipated to open new opportunities for economic collaboration, investment, and other potential growth sectors.
