PT JAS Aero Engineering Services Supports Jetstar Asia’s Newest Route: Singapore–Labuan Bajo

Starting 20 March 2025, Jetstar Asia Operates Direct Round-Trip Flights on the SIN–LBJ Route Using Airbus A320, with Twice-Weekly Frequency

Labuan Bajo, 20 March 2025 – PT JAS Aero Engineering Services (JAE), a leading provider of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services in Indonesia, proudly welcomes Jetstar Asia’s latest route connecting Singapore and Labuan Bajo, one of Indonesia’s most iconic tourism destinations. Effective 20 March 2025, Jetstar Asia is operating direct flights on this route using Airbus A320 aircraft. The service departs from Changi International Airport, Singapore (SIN) at 14:10 local time and arrives at Komodo International Airport, Labuan Bajo (LBJ) at 17:20 local time. The return flight departs Labuan Bajo at 18:00 local time.

The route operates twice weekly, offering more opportunities for international travelers to explore the natural beauty of Labuan Bajo, which serves as the gateway to Komodo National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located between Sumbawa and Flores in central Indonesia, Komodo National Park is renowned for its striking landscapes of rugged savannah hills interspersed with thorny green vegetation, pristine white sandy beaches, and crystal-clear blue seas adorned with vibrant coral reefs. It is also home to the world’s largest lizard, the Komodo dragon — a rare and extraordinary attraction for both tourists and researchers.

To support the operations of this new route, JAE has once again been entrusted by Jetstar Asia as its MRO partner in Indonesia. This collaboration follows previous engagements in Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, and Medan. At Labuan Bajo, JAE ensures safe and smooth flight operations through the provision of aircraft airworthiness certification and technical ramp handling services, thereby maintaining every Jetstar Asia aircraft in optimal condition before departure.

Iman Sinambela, President Director of PT JAS Aero Engineering Services, expressed his enthusiasm for the route’s launch. “We are pleased to be once again entrusted by Jetstar Asia to support their flight operations in Labuan Bajo. This new route not only enhances air connectivity between Singapore and one of Indonesia’s top tourist destinations but also creates greater opportunities for tourism and economic growth in Labuan Bajo and its surrounding regions. We are fully committed to supporting this growth by delivering high-quality technical services to ensure the safety and reliability of all our airline partners’ operations.”

The trust placed in JAE by leading airlines reflects its proven reliability and expertise built over more than 21 years in the aviation MRO industry in Indonesia. With Jetstar Asia’s presence in Labuan Bajo, more international visitors are expected to discover Indonesia’s breathtaking natural wonders and rich cultural heritage — further strengthening the country’s position as a premier destination in Southeast Asia.
