“We are honored that JAS Airport Services has been reappointed as the CTO at Denpasar and Surabaya stations. This demonstrates that Angkasa Pura I continues to trust JAS Airport Services to support the optimization of cargo handling at these two airports, in line with international standards,” said Adji Gunawan, President Director and CEO of JAS Airport Services, in Cengkareng, on Friday (August 26).

As planned, JAS Airport Services will begin managing the International Cargo and Postal Terminal at Juanda Airport, Surabaya, on December 1, 2022, and at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, on January 1, 2023.

“We hope that JAS Airport Services can continue to maintain Angkasa Pura I’s trust in supporting the optimization of the cargo business at these two airports and further strengthen our role as CTO at these international airports,” Adji added.

JAS Airport Services’ reappointment as the Cargo Terminal Operator (CTO) at both airports was officially marked by the handover of the Principal Cooperation Agreement for Cargo and Postal Handling Services at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, and Juanda International Airport, Surabaya, from Rene Van Joost, VP Cargo and Logistics Development of Angkasa Pura I, to Yoyok Priyowiwoho, VP Business Development of PT JAS Airport Services, and Heri Lukmanto, VP Cargo Operation of JAS Airport Services, in Jakarta on Thursday (August 25).

Dendi T. Danianto, Director of Business Development at PT Angkasa Pura I, emphasized that the open selection process aims to bring about technological transformation, improvements in facilities, and expertise to enhance the Level of Services and Cargo Throughput, along with global-standard cargo and postal terminal operations.

To maintain Angkasa Pura I’s trust as CTO, JAS Airport Services continues to uphold service standards with various internationally recognized certifications, including the ISAGO recertification from IATA (ground handling company certification in line with international standards) at four PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta stations, namely Soekarno Hatta International Airport (CGK), I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), Juanda International Airport (SUB), and Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) in early 2022.

In its operations, PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta, Tbk. will implement Cargo Terminal Digitalization through integration with PT Angkasa Pura I’s Cargo Integrated System, which will simplify business processes, improve efficiency, ensure cashless payment transparency, and integrate with all stakeholders within the Air Cargo & Logistics Ecosystem, such as airlines, customs and quarantine authorities, Regulated Agents, Aircraft Loaders (EMPU), Freight Forwarders, and Cargo Terminal Operators.
