Labuan Bajo, 21 December 2025 – PT JAS Aero Engineering Services (JAE) proudly welcomed the inaugural flight of Scoot, the subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), which officially launched a new direct route connecting Singapore Changi International Airport (SIN) and Komodo International Airport (LBJ) in Labuan Bajo. Starting 21 December 2025, Scoot operates this round-trip service twice weekly using the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft.
To support these operations, JAE has once again been appointed by Scoot as its Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) partner in Labuan Bajo. Through this partnership, JAE helps ensure aircraft readiness and safety prior to subsequent flights in accordance with international aviation safety standards, so that each aircraft is in optimal condition before takeoff. In addition to Labuan Bajo, JAE also provides technical support for Scoot’s operations at several international airports across Indonesia, including Kertajati, Balikpapan, Pekanbaru, Makassar, Padang, and Manado.

The launch of this international route represents a strategic step in strengthening air connectivity between Indonesia and Singapore, while also supporting tourism growth in eastern Indonesia. Labuan Bajo is one of Indonesia’s super-priority tourism destinations, developed to become a world-class destination and renowned for its stunning natural beauty. It also serves as the gateway to Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.
On Sundays, flights depart Singapore (SIN) at 05:30 local time and arrive in Labuan Bajo (LBJ) at 08:50 local time. The return flight from LBJ to SIN is scheduled at 09:25 local time. On Thursdays, flights depart SIN at 14:20 local time and arrive in LBJ at 17:40 local time, with the return flight from LBJ to SIN scheduled at 18:15 local time.
JAE’s technical support for Scoot’s operations in Labuan Bajo reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining smooth and safe flight operations, while also forming part of its strategic efforts to expand service coverage across international airports in Indonesia.
